Email notifications
The ability to send incoming TextFree text notifications to your email is not a feature available for Android accounts.
Call & Text Notifications
To change notifications from your device settings:
- Go to TextFree Settings.
- Tap Get Help.
- Tap Manage Permissions.
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap ON to enable notifications in TextFree.

Email notifications
iOS users can have their incoming TextFree text messages emailed to them. Here's how to enable email notifications to your registered email:
- TextFree app Settings.
- Under Texting, locate Email Notifications.
- Tap to enable or disable (gray).
Note: Emailed transcriptions or notifications for voicemails are not available (only texts).
Call & Text Notifications
- TextFree app Settings.
- Tap Support.
- Tap Manage Permissions.
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap the Allow Notifications bar to enable notifications.
Please Note: Be sure that Allow Notifications is enabled, then determine your preferred notification settings (Lock screen, notification center, banners, etc.) See below for more information on the individual notifications and how they work in TextFree.
- Show in Notification Center - Appears as a notification when you pull down from the top of your screen
- Sounds - receive an audible alert when your volume is on
- Badge App Icon - A red bubble on the app icon when outside of the app that alerts you of notification within TextFree.
- Show on Lock Screen - receive notifications when your app is locked
