Issue Symptoms
You have received this error message in TextFree, when attempting to log in:
"No Account Found - We don't have an account associated with this email. If you are new to TextFree, please create a new account."
Condition
- Using TextFree mobile or TextFree Web to log in
Cause & Resolution
If you see this error message, it means that no active account was found for the email address or number that you entered. Please review the possible reasons below to understand why and log in successfully.
1. You created your account using a different email address
If you have more than one email address, please check that you are using the right one to log in.
You can also try logging in with your TextFree number, if you're unsure what email address you used to register.
2. Your account has a different TextFree number or your number expired
If your account is not found when you enter your number, please try typing your email address instead.
TextFree numbers expire after 30 days of inactivity. If your number expired, you'll be prompted to choose a new one after logging in.
3. You created your account using Single Sign-On with Apple or Google
You may see this "No Account Found" error if you're using the wrong log in method for your account. If you created your account through Single Sign-On (SSO) then please log in the same way.
- If you used Google SSO, select "Continue with Google" (TextFree mobile app) or "Sign in with Google" (TextFree Web).
- If you used Apple SSO, select "Continue with Apple" (TextFree mobile app) or "Sign in with Apple" (TextFree Web).
4. You used Apple's "Hide My Email" option when creating your account
If you created your account from our iOS app, you may have used Apple's "Hide My Email" feature to register. This means Apple provided an automated email address to link to the account, but all emails to this address get forwarded to the email linked to your Apple ID.
Here's how you can locate the account email address that you need to log in with:
Device Settings > Apple ID (Your Name) > iCloud > Show All > Hide My Email > TextFree
5. You have submitted a request to delete your account
If you have requested to delete your account, you will no longer be able to log in and may see the message "No Account Found". To continue using the service, please create a new TextFree account.
Note: you must wait until the deletion process is complete before creating a new account with the same email address. To create an account sooner, feel free to use a different email address.
