Can I choose a Canadian Number?

Yes, Canadian numbers are available to choose as your TextFree number in most areas. When you sign up for TextFree and create an account, it will prompt you to choose an area code.

If you don't see the area code when you search, chances are that it is one of the area codes that we do not support, but you are welcome to contact our support team to double-check.

Important: TextFree does not support sending nor receiving picture & video messages (MMS files) to and from Canadian numbers.

Unsupported area codes

Due to high cost/termination rates, we do not support ALL Canadian area codes.

If you receive an error (when verifying your account using your Canadian mobile number) OR are unable to select/locate a specific Canadian area code to use as your TextFree number, please contact Support and we will assist you.
