Verification calls and/or texts are supported, but only with a paid subscription to TextFree Plus. Accounts that do not have an active TextFree Plus subscription will be unable to receive verification calls and/or texts.
If you are not on the "Plus" subscription, in the inbox you will see a message with "Upgrade to TextFree Plus to unlock verification codes" as pictured below (first line):

If you don't have an active TextFree Plus subscription, you can still receive various messages from shortcodes, excluding security verification/validation messages.
