Why are there multiple TextFree apps in the app store?

Are you curious why we have multiple apps in the app store and wondering which one to download? Let's get into the details!

Pinger and TextFree apps essentially function the same, just with different names, so that is why you see multiple apps in the app store. Since people were using them equally, we decided to keep them both!

We have TWO apps available by device:

• TextFree and Pinger app (Apple App Store)
• TextFree and TextFree Voice app (Google Play Store)

Which app should I download?

The answer is that it is completely up to you! Either the Pinger app (iOS only), TextFree, or the TextFree Voice app will perform the same functions. 

The Pinger app (iOS) generally gets quicker updates which allow us to monitor the performance and quality of the release before releasing the new versions to TextFree (i.e. if you are a person that likes to be the first to get new features and/or updates, Pinger may be a good option for you) 

Please Note: The Pinger app is available on the iTunes store only. 

Can I download and use both?

Yes, both can be downloaded, both use the same login credentials, and both have access to TextFree Web Messaging.
