How to block a number on TextFree Web

Note: IF YOU ARE RECEIVING HARASSING OR THREATENING TEXTS OR CALLS, AND YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE IN PHYSICAL DANGER, CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IMMEDIATELY.

To block a contact via TextFree Web:

1. Login to TextFree Web. 
2. Click on the arrow alongside the name or number you wish to block.
3. The last option you'll see in the dropdown is to "Block Number" (pictured below) 
4. When you click Block Number, you'll see a popup to confirm the block 
5. Click BLOCK to confirm

Please note: Blocking a contact will remove and delete the conversation in its entirety from your inbox. You will not be able to get these messages back at a later date nor will TextFree Support.

Using our services for abusive behavior is explicitly against our terms and conditions. Anyone caught harassing or threatening others will have their account disabled immediately.

What to do if you are being harassed:

• Email [e-mail] and let our support team know about any TextFree/Pinger users that are abusing our service (please provide their TextFree number as well)

Important: If you need to block a group conversation and/or private, restricted, or unknown numbers, please reach out to the support team and we can further assist you since these types of blocks cannot be handled through the Web or app.
