Important Message for TextFree Web, Facebook Single-Sign-On (SSO) Accounts

We‘ve decided to remove Facebook as a signup and login option from TextFree Web due to continuous issues with Facebook’s platform and lack of improvement on their end.

Since you currently use Facebook to log into TextFree Web, we ask you to migrate your account to an email-based login so you can continue using your TextFree Web account. Not to worry, this process is simple and will not impact your message history in any way. 

FYI: Your TextFree number, messages, and other communication history will stay with you and will NOT be deleted once you migrate.

If you have not received the reset password email or have not completed the process to migrate to an email account, please follow the instructions below:

1. Visit TextFree Web’s Login Page.
2. Click “Forgot Password” (located under the password box).
3. Enter the email address that is associated with your Facebook SSO account. 
   • You may want to confirm your email in the Facebook app or desktop to ensure you're using the right email. 
4. Click the Send button.
5. You’ll receive a “Success! Your email and password have been sent” pop-up message.
6. Check your email (look for an email from TextFree with the subject “Let’s reset your password”
   • Open it and click the “Reset My Password” button in the email.
7. Enter your new password (ensuring it meets the requirements) 
8. Click “Update” 

Now that your password has been created for your email account, you can log into TextFree Web. 

1. Go back to TextFree Web’s Login Page.
2. Enter your email.
3. Enter your newly created password. 
4. Click the “Sign In” button. 

You will then be sent to your inbox which contains all of your existing messages and communication history. Moving forward, you will enter your email (or number) and password to sign into TextFree Web (and not Facebook).
