How to place a call

Note: TextFree Web does not offer voice and/or video calling and is only for Web-based texting.

There are a couple of ways to make a call within the app. Before placing a call, please make sure you've allowed the app access to your contacts in order for your device's address book to populate.

Here are the ways to place a call with TextFree:

Placing a call from your contact list:

1. Tap the 'Address Book' icon at the top of your inbox 
2. Either scroll to or type the name of the contact you wish to call 
3. Once you choose a contact, tap on the phone icon on the right
4. Your call will immediately be placed

Placing a call from the dial pad:

1. To place a call from your dial pad, tap the 'grid icon' at the top of your inbox
2. Enter the phone number you'd like to place a call to
3. Tap the green phone button
4. Your call will immediately be placed 

Please Note: Make sure you have a consistent 'HD' or 'excellent' quality signal for best call quality results.
