TextFree Plus Subscription

TextFree Plus takes the a-la-carte subscriptions that were previously offered and combines them into one bundled subscription.

Note: TextFree is FREE to use for calling and texting, and TextFree Plus is an optional paid subscription upgrade for added features.

1. Reserve your Number 

Reserve your TextFree number without the worry of losing your number due to inactivity with a TextFree Plus subscription. 

2. No Ads

Your TextFree app will be free of ads with a TextFree Plus subscription. 

3. Change your TextFree number 

With a TextFree Plus subscription, you have the ability to change your number once every 24 hours. For steps on how to change your number, click HERE.

4. Shortcode/verification code support 

With a TextFree Plus subscription, you can use your TextFree number as a way to validate registrations with various entities (where this option is unavailable with a TextFree "free" account).

Note: You can also receive shortcodes via TextFree Web if you prefer to use your computer for Web-based texting.

Important info about validation texts and calls:

• TextFree doesn’t limit the types of phone calls you can receive. However, certain companies may not allow you to use your TextFree number for verification, thus you may not receive the code.
  • Telegram shortcodes are NOT supported with a TextFree Plus subscription.
• This is not something that is imposed from our end, so we recommend contacting the service provider who is sending the verification texts to see if they support TextFree phone numbers. 

Pricing

All purchases of TextFree Plus are managed by the Apple App Store (iOS users) or the Google Play Store (Android users).

New customers: When you register for a TextFree account and subscribe to TextFree Plus, you will default to the monthly subscription.

iOS customers: If you are currently subscribed to TextFree Plus monthly & wish to upgrade to the 6 or 12-month subscription, please proceed to Apple's subscriptions page to update your subscription. (Device Settings > View Apple ID > Subscriptions)

Customers who subscribed to TextFree Plus prior to Nov 30th, 2021: Your pricing will remain at your current rate so as long as you do not cancel your subscription or have a lapse in payment. 

Note: If you are switching to a yearly subscription (from a 1-month or 6-month subscription) you will be charged by your app store immediately. This change will be reflected in your app store account and in Settings (under subscription). 

How to subscribe

If you are a TextFree user who does NOT have a TextFree Plus subscription currently, you have the option to subscribe monthly. Here's how:

1. Access TextFree app Settings.
2. Under Subscription, tap UPGRADE (next to TextFree Plus). 
3. Tap Subscribe to sign-up for TextFree Plus.
4. You will see 'Thanks for subscribing' which indicates you have successfully subscribed to TextFree Plus Monthly.

6-month or 12-month subscription:

iOS customers:

Note for iOS: The 6 and 12-month subscription option is available for iOS customers only. To switch to a semi-annual or yearly subscription, you must first subscribe to the MONTHLY subscription, then you can UPGRADE to a longer subscription via Apple's subscription page. You cannot choose a 6 or 12-month subscription during signup or from TextFree app Settings. 

How to upgrade your subscription length via Apple: 

1. iOS Settings.
2. View your Apple ID.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. From there, you can switch to the 6 or 12-month subscription.

Weekly subscription is not available for iOS customers at this time. 

Android customers:

6 and 12-month options are NOT available for Android at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. 

Note: You can check your TextFree Plus subscription renewal date at any point by following the steps above.
