How to delete messages, calls, and voicemails

TextFree does not contain a log where you can delete multiple calls & voicemails at once. However, you can delete messages in bulk. Read below for further information on how to clean up your inbox by removing missed calls, voicemails, and messages.  

IMPORTANT: Deleting calls, messages, or voicemails is a permanent action that cannot be reversed. TextFree Support will be unable to recover any communication history once deleted.

Deleting Messages

To bulk-delete messages from your inbox: 

1. Select the "Edit" button at the top-left of the Inbox.
2. Manually select one or more conversations from your list. 
3. Tap "Delete" (bottom-right) to delete the selected messages. 
4. Confirm your selection by tapping Delete once more.  

Quick action: In the inbox, swipe left on a message to delete. 

Deleting Calls & Voicemails 

Note: There is no option to bulk delete calls and voicemails in TextFree (as you may be accustomed to on your iPhone). Call logs and voicemails are contained within the conversation in your inbox. 

To delete a call log or voicemail from your TextFree inbox: 

1. Swipe left on the item you want to delete from the inbox. 
2. Tap Delete. 
3. Confirm your selection by tapping Delete once more. 

To delete a missed call or voicemail from displaying within the conversation:

1. View the conversation that contains the missed or voicemail you want to delete.
2. Tap and hold the missed call or voicemail.
3. On the pop-up, tap Delete.

Deleting Messages

To bulk-delete messages from your inbox:

1. Tap and hold a conversation to bring up the bulk edit options menu. 
2. Select the message(s) you wish to delete. 
3. Tap the trash can icon.
4. Confirm your selection by tapping Delete once more.

To delete a call log or voicemail from your TextFree inbox:

Deleting Messages

To bulk-delete messages in TextFree Web:

1. Navigate and click on the "Edit" button (near the top-left of the inbox)
2. Click on the conversations from your list that you want to delete
3. Click the red Delete button. 
4. Confirm your selection by clicking delete once more. 

Quick action: In the inbox, hover over the message, then click the ellipsis (three-dots) icon to delete.

Deleting Calls & Voicemails

Note: There is no option to bulk delete calls and voicemails in TextFree (as you may be accustomed to on your device). Call logs and voicemails are contained within the conversation in your inbox. 

1. Hover over the voicemail or call (seen in the inbox list).
2. Click the three dots to bring up the options menu.
3. Select "Delete Conversation" (this will delete any messages associated with the call or voicemail as well)
4. Confirm your selection by tapping the red "Delete" button.

Note: There is no option to delete individual messages/missed calls or voicemails from within a conversation in TextFree Web.
