If you find that you're not receiving notifications for TextFree, make sure you have notifications turned on. You can check this through your device settings (see below).

After you download the app from the Google Play Store, the app asks for all permissions including turning on notifications. However, to make sure your notifications are on or to change how they show up on your screen, follow the instructions below.
To receive app notifications on your Android device:
- App 'Settings'
- Scroll to 'Enable Notifications'
- Note: When you enable notifications, the 'Show Message Preview' will be enabled automatically (you can disable this is you wish)
- Show Message Preview: This will show you a preview of the message when you get the notification. Turning it off will simply give you a notification saying you’ve got a new message without showing the message text.
