This article outlines how to both send and receive Audio Messages using the TextFree app and Web. Audio Messages allow you to record a message through your phone speaker and send that recording within your regular text message conversation threads.

To Send Audio Messages
- In your conversation thread, tap and hold the icon to record your message.
- Press the UP arrow to send the message.
- Your message wil be displayed in the conversation with a play icon (as seen below)
To Receive Audio Messages
New Audio Messages will appear within your conversation threads just like regular texts. To play the message, simply press the "Play" icon on the left side of the message.

To Send Audio Messages
- In your conversation thread, tap the icon on the far right of your text field.
- Record your message.
- Press the icon again to end the recording.
- Press the UP arrow to send the message.
To Receive Audio Messages
New Audio Messages will appear within your conversation threads just like regular texts. To play the message, simply press the "Play" icon on the left side of the message.

Currently, TextFree Web does not offer the option to create audio messages, however, you can still receive and play them. Received messages must be in the following formats: Mp3, Amr, Wav, M4a.
To play the message, press the "Play" icon on the left of the message once received (as pictured below)
